About Xenios

Some forms endure for millennia. They were created for life's finest moments: the celebration, the shared meal, the welcoming of a guest.

Xenios means "hospitable" in Ancient Greek, and Zeus Xenios was the protector of guests. To be a host is to create a moment for others: a table where people come together to savour, to talk and to celebrate, and where a shared meal becomes a memory.

It is for this moment that we design our vessels. They give your dishes a stage and turn serving itself into an experience. And because every form carries a story, it often becomes a conversation piece at the table.

We are fascinated by the vessels of the Greeks, the Etruscans and the Minoans. We do not reconstruct them. Instead, we take up their idea, their silhouette, their defining detail, and translate it for the way we live today. Every piece is carefully handcrafted in Germany from high-quality stoneware.

For a hospitality that does not end with serving, but lives on in memory.
